A Family (Korean: 가족; RR: Gajok) is a 2004 South Korean drama film directed and written by Lee Jung-Chul. The film explores the strained and complex relationship between a father and his daughter following her release from prison.

Plot

The story follows Jung-Eun (played by Soo-Ae), a young woman who has recently completed a three-year prison sentence for pickpocketing. Upon her release, she attempts to reintegrate into society while navigating her past associations. Her father, Joo-Suk (played by Joo Hyun), is a man who lost sight in one eye and struggles to express his affection for his daughter. Despite his gruff demeanor and concerns regarding her continued involvement with criminal elements, he attempts to guide her toward a better life.
