Production and Background

The series was directed by Yoon Jong-Ho with scripts written by Kim Eun-Hee. The narrative is adapted from the webcomic titled Yubunyeo Killer, written by Yoon and illustrated by Geomdung, which was first published on May 16, 2020, via Kakao.

A Bona fide Killer took over MBC's Friday and Saturday 21:50 time slot, succeeding the program Fifties Professionals.
