A Bloody Aria (2006 Film)

A Bloody Aria (Korean: 구타유발자들; RR: Gutayubaljadeul) is a 2006 South Korean suspense-thriller film written and directed by Won Shin-Yeon. The film, which incorporates elements of dark comedy and crime, explores the escalation of violence and shifting power dynamics among a group of individuals in a remote rural setting.

Plot

The narrative follows a music professor named Park Young-Sun, who takes his student, In-Jung, on a drive through the South Korean countryside. After attempting to evade a police officer, Young-Sun detours into a secluded area near a river. Under the guise of an impromptu music lesson, Young-Sun attempts to sexually assault In-Jung. She manages to escape into the surrounding woods, leaving Young-Sun alone. While he waits for her return, he is confronted by three local men, one of whom is carrying a blood-stained baseball bat.
