7th Grade Civil Servant (South Korean TV Series)

7th Grade Civil Servant is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from January 23 to March 28, 2013. The series follows the professional and personal lives of new agents working for the National Intelligence Service (NIS). The plot centers on the interactions between the characters Han Gil-Ro, played by Joo Won, and Kim Seo-Won, played by Choi Gang-Hee, as they navigate the challenges of their secret agent training and developing relationships.

Production

The series is a television remake of the 2009 South Korean film My Girlfriend is an Agent. During its development, the project was known by the working title Bimilnamnyeojeon, which translates to "Secret Agent War." The script reading for the cast took place on November 13, 2012, at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan.

Principal photography commenced on November 23, 2012, at a cafe in Changcheon-dong, Seoul. Production faced environmental challenges during the filming of a sequence at a racetrack in the Taebaek Mountains in December 2012, where severe weather conditions, including heavy snow and strong winds, caused multiple delays over a four-day period.
