59th Baeksang Arts Awards

The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards took place on April 28, 2023, in Seoul, South Korea. The ceremony, presented by IS PLUS Corp., honored excellence in South Korean film and television productions released between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023. The event was hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Bae Suzy, and Park Bo-gum.

Film Awards

The film Decision to Leave, directed by Park Chan-wook, received the Grand Prize (Daesang). The award for Best Film was presented to The Night Owl. Park Chan-wook was recognized as Best Director for his work on Decision to Leave, while the Best Screenplay award went to July Jung for Next Sohee.

In the television category, the Grand Prize (Daesang) was awarded to actress Park Eun-bin for her performance in the series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The Netflix production The Glory was named Best Drama.
