Background and Origin

The premise of the film originated at the 46th Paeksang Arts Awards in 2010, where actor Ha Jung-woo received the Best Actor award for his performance in Take Off. During his acceptance speech, Ha jokingly promised that if he were to win the same award the following year, he would walk across South Korea. When Ha subsequently won the Best Actor award at the 47th Paeksang Arts Awards in 2011 for his role in The Yellow Sea, he decided to honor his commitment.

Production and Journey

The production follows Ha Jung-woo as he organizes a group of colleagues to accompany him on a trek from Seoul to Haenam. The journey spanned 577 kilometers over a period of 20 days and 19 nights. The documentary captures the physical challenges, interpersonal dynamics, and personal reflections of the participants throughout the expedition.
