2424 is a South Korean action-comedy film released on October 18, 2002. Directed by Lee Yeon-Woo, the film follows a complex narrative involving an underground smuggling organization and a police operation aimed at dismantling it.

Plot

The story centers on Park Tae-ho (played by Jung Woong-In), who operates an underground organization specializing in jewelry smuggling. To dismantle the criminal enterprise, the police infiltrate the group with an undercover agent. Facing pressure from law enforcement, Park Tae-ho attempts to hide jewelry valued at 3 billion won within display objects, intending to transport the goods out of South Korea.

In response, the police initiate a mission codenamed "2424," a term signifying movement in Korean, under the supervision of Choi Doo-chil (played by Jeon Kwang-Leol). The situation escalates when both the police and the criminal organization lose track of the hidden jewels during transit, leading to a frantic search by both parties.

Production and Release

The film was directed by Lee Yeon-Woo, with a screenplay written by Yun Hak-Ryeol, Lee Yeon-Woo, and Park Ki-Bok. It features a runtime of 105 minutes and was produced in South Korea.
