20th Century Boy and Girl

20th Century Boy and Girl is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from October 9 to November 28, 2017. The series explores the themes of love and friendship through the lives of three 35-year-old single women. The drama was directed by Lee Dong-yoon and written by Lee Sun-hye. During its development, the project was known by the working title No Sex and the City.

Production and Broadcast

The production process included a script reading held on July 11, 2017, at the MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The series faced scheduling adjustments due to an internal strike at MBC, which delayed its original premiere date. Consequently, the show began airing on October 9, 2017, rather than the originally planned September date.

The broadcast schedule experienced further changes during its run. For instance, the premiere featured the airing of four episodes (episodes 1–4) on October 9, 2017, while no episodes were broadcast on October 10, 2017, due to a soccer match between South Korea and Morocco. To accommodate the premiere of the subsequent drama Two Cops, the final four episodes of 20th Century Boy and Girl were moved to an earlier 8:30 PM time slot.
