The 15th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) took place in Shanghai, China, from June 16 to June 24, 2012. Competition and Awards

The festival featured two primary competitive categories: the Golden Goblet Awards and the Asian New Talent Awards.

Festival Highlights

The festival opened with the screening of Painted Skin: The Resurrection, directed by Kuo-fu Chen. The program was divided into several segments, including official selections, new Chinese films, and specific spotlights such as the "Global Village: Japan Film Week" and "The Miracle of Thai Film." Additionally, the festival honored the work of director Yigong Wu with a dedicated retrospective, screening films such as My Memories of Old Beijing and Evening Rain.
