Premise and Synopsis
The story centers on Lee Ga-Gyeong, portrayed by Kim You-Jung, a skilled pickpocket in Gyeongseong whose primary personal objective is to emigrate to the United States. To achieve this goal, she accumulates savings until she is approached by Yoo So-Ran (Kim Hyun-Joo), a sniper associated with the anti-Japanese organization Gugukdan.
The Gugukdan includes members such as Yoo Philip (Lee Mu-Saeng), a Gyeongseong correspondent for a United States news agency. The organization plans an assassination attempt targeting Shinichi Sato (Jin Sun-Kyu), the Director General of the Government-General of Chosen.
As part of the rebel group's plan, Lee Ga-Gyeong infiltrates the Government-General of Chosen by working as an interpreter trainee for a duration of 100 days. During her infiltration, she encounters Kim Tae-Woong (Jin Young), the adopted son of Shinichi Sato who serves as an elite interpreter for the Government-General and is fluent in Korean, Japanese, and English.
